The Free Pony Party was created on August 25, 2012 by Vermin Love Supreme who is also the head-runner for the party. Our party believes in satirical activism. We and our supporters believe in the corruption and disenfranchisement of the government and political process. Our promises are rooted in a "not necessarily reality-based" approach to the process. Our Party holds Supreme's vision of anarchism close and also believes that there is no need for government. This plan, however, also depends on citizens to take responsibility for themselves and for others, since "mutual aid and support and care to our fellow citizens" are key elements. To reach that end, we call for a gradual dismantling of the government, while citizens take up the slack.

Vermin Love Supreme is an American performance artist, anarchist and activist. He considers himself to be the "Supreme Vermin" or Supreme Politician so he changed his name as such. Yet, even though his real name in unknown we do know that he is a "tyrant you can trust" and "a friendly fasciast" who is known for running as an alternative candidate in various local, state, and national elections. Not only does his distinctive style such as his boot hat set him apart from other presidential candidates but his innovative ideas for the American people make him outshine all the rest. His plans for the American people if he were to become president include: a mandatory tooth brushing law, a new Zombie Energy Plan, to fund time travel research and to give every American a pony.
